Gina's Place
Usually I go to a place expecting to Road Nom it. For example Chacho’s was one of the first places I ever wanted to write about after first eating there earlier this year. But sometimes I discover a place worthy of being Road Nom-ed without even meaning to and I’ll admit it’s a great feeling. Gina’s Place at the Andretti Speedway and Fun Center in Melbourne, Florida is one...

Obscenity in nacho form
America likes to do things big. And Texas likes to do things even bigger. Chacho’s in Houston is carrying on this tradition with their Monster Kong Nachos, an obscene mountain of nacho that includes four kinds of cheese, seven kinds of meat, a bowl of sour cream, a bowl of guacamole and unfortunately no Tums or alligator clips so you can hook your heart up to your car battery when it stops...

Bacon-wrapped....bacon.
Well apparently we’ve reached the ends of what humanity is capable of creating and achieving because Lucky’s in Houston next to Warehouse Live is wrapping bacon in none other than more bacon. Yes folks it’s come to that…bacon-wrapped bacon. Ok, it’s really pancetta wrapped in bacon, but who am I trying to kid? Pancetta is just fancy bacon. Fortunately though humanity...

Save me from myself
Yesterday SYG played in San Antonio, Texas. If you read my Austin post from the Gig Life tour I love Texas bbq, and the first thing I noticed as we pulled up to the White Rabbit was the bbq spot next door. I asked a few people working at the venue though and they said the spot was shit. I asked where another decent bbq joint was nearby and I was pointed in the direction of Auggie’s. I made...

More noodles!
If you’re able to brave the traffic in LA you should hit up a cool spot called Noodle World. I’m not sure if it’s in Alhambra, but what I am sure of is that this is another one of Set Your Goals’ favorite spots in the area. As you might have guessed by the name they serve lots of noodle dishes. But they’re all representative of different Asian cultures, like Japanes,...

Swingers!
Swingers is one of Hollywood’s finest establishments, and easily my favorite diner in the area. They have a great selection of milk shakes and cool dishes like Edwin’s Pasta, a mix of eggs, bow-tie pasta, and lots of bacon and sausage (although I like the vegetarian version more). But today it was all about an American classic for me: steak and eggs. Mmmm! No surprises here just...

The Return of Road Noms!
The AP Fall Ball Tour is well underway and that means it’s time to re-commence the gorging! I’m looking forward to noming it up on this tour especially because the weather is getting colder and I need some good ol’ hearty American comfort food to keep me warm. To start this trend off my first RN spot of the tour is Tommy’s Joynt, located in the best city in the world, San...
