Trucker's Breakfast at the Alibi Room
Ok so I kind of messed up and did this one a bit out of order but it’s by far the most epic meal I’ve Road Nom’ed so far so it’s alright. It’s called the Trucker’s breakfast and you can get it at the Alibi Room in Brisbane. First read what all comes with the Trucker’s breakfast at the top of the menu: It’s dishes like this that were my early...

Vegetarian Delight
On our last day in Australia we went to a spot called Vegetarian Delight in Adelaide. We went there on our last trip so we figured we were due for a visit. They only serve mock meat and they do it well. I ordered mongolian beef. It came served on a bed of bean sprouts in this awesome bull-shaped skillet. Check out the ring through his nose! So good. As was the food. It was a bit spicy, but not...

LORD OF THE FRIES!
This is a place in Melbourne that Set Your Goals is in love with. We must have gone here about a dozen times our last trip to Australia. They serve up some of the best fries ever that you can get topped with a whole bunch of sauces that are listed by the country they represent. There’s Viatnamese, which is a sour cream and sweet chili sauce, American bbq, Thai peanut, French Canadian,...

RIP Roo (The Day the Hopping Stopped)
That, my friends, is a kangaroo burger. That’s right…in Australia you can eat kangaroo. The Aussies are the only country that eat their national animals (the other one being the emu). I didn’t get to try kangaroo my last time in Australia but Mikey and I discovered this little kebab shop by our hotel in Sydney that served it, so of course we braved it up and tried some. The...

A Little on the Side (and a lot in my stomach!)
Oh my god you are not ready for these pancakes. I will say without hyperbole that these pancakes are some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. So the restaurant is called “A Little on the Side” and it’s right next to the Medina hotel we stayed at in Sydney. Our tour manager Charney said the place was really good but I was not prepared for the awesomeness these pancakes...

Malaysian Invasion
We had a 6 hour layover in Kuala Lumpur before going to Australia. We weren’t allowed to leave the airport but amidst all the very American cafes and fast food spots there was a little cafe that served up real Malaysian food. Having never tried Malaysian food Junior, Matt, Joe and I once again took the plunge into uncharted gastronomical territories. And once again our boldness delivered...

Ain't no thing but a Japanese chicken wing
So after we left Tokyo we went to Nagoya and after our show there our tour manager Emi took us to a place whose speciality was chicken wings. I was a bit wary of how these would turn out since I’m a huge lover of chicken wings but when I’m in a place like Japan I like to eat traditional Japanese food. Well all fears were allayed when these tasty little guys showed up. These wings...

NOODLES EVERYWHERE!
Noodles in Japan are like Japanese people….they’re everywhere! You can find noodle dishes wherever you go; it’s such a staple food. But unlike Japanese people they vary greatly in size. You can get skinny ramen noodles all the way up to big fat udon noodles. Our second day in Tokyo we all went to this great ramen spot in Shibuya that Junior and I had gone to our last time in...
